The Deep Sea 3D will debut on March 3rd in selected IMAX, IMAX 3D and IMAX Dome theatres. I have heard about this movie for a very long time.
"...through the magic of IMAX 3D technology, audiences will be transported below the ocean surface to swim with some of the planet's most unique, dangerous and colorful creatures, from the unusual Wolf Eel to the Giant Pacific Octopus..." Check out the official website to see if you can find it close home. Watch it if you want to know what does it look like when you submerge into the deep sea!
![]() Wow...I just realize I haven't been home this early for a couple of days. I say 'this early' I mean 9 o'clock. I left lab recently in the morning and have been thinking about the experiments all day and all night. Just watched two episodes of Sex and the City - I am thinking I should go to a bar and get high sometime. I am not sure where the pressure coming from but I just feel so uncertain these days - uncertain about the career, uncertain about the future. I hope it's just a temporary syndrome and will pass soon. I went to the square to get my hair cut this afternoon. It's a very small barber shop - which reminds me the barber shop in New Haven. I actually only went there once or twice in the 5 years but don't know why I always think of it.
![]() I still walked to the lab today. Look at the snow. This's been the heaviest snow storm since the winter came. The weather has been wild for a long time - it actually set the record high in January. Now we have what we got used to. Compared to the bitterly cold last two years, this winter so far is not too bad. p.s. I just learned that the storm dumped 26.9 inch snow in Central Park in New York yesterday, breaking the record set in 1947.
![]() Not too much happened in the week. I was basically busy in the lab as usual. I am happy with the progress of the experiments. The above are two STM images I just got showing the titanium oxide clusters on gold surface. There is still a lot too do but so far it's interesting. It gets really cold recently, which is supposed to be normal in New England. But people are getting more passive with the temperature's getting colder. Especially there is a big storm coming tomorrow. So stay warm and safe!
I went to a Monday program of Greater Lynn Photographic Association. I remember when I was about leaving New Haven, everyone in the camera club told me I should go to Greater Lynn. It's been terribly busy for me since I moved to Cambridge. Now I feel great to be re-connected the photography world.
The club is great. It was founded in 1888 and has a very long history. The club owns its own building. It's cool. James, the current president, is very nice and show the both floors of the building. Look at the picture I took in the restroom. Can you recognize the sentence? I just think it's fun! ![]()
Check the Sea Rovers website for more information about the Boston Sea Rovers 52nd Annual Clinic. If you think it's just the event simply about scuba diving, then you are wrong. It's about the exploration of the nature. So if you like nature or photography or even history, you should go. |
