Essay - Growth (from Nature) [Research]

For some reason I was touched by this small essay. I guess I believe 'post-doc' is the most 'unattactive' stage in an academic path. But from my experience, I also feel it's the stage where I absorbed most knowledge. Keep faith - we supposed to shine not to fade!

Back From Thousand Islands   ]

I arrived home safely. It turned out I left the key in the car. I was in such a rush that I did not turn off the head light. AAA opened the lock for me and also gave me a jump.

We dove the Victory this morning. It's a gorgeous shipwreck. The whole wooden ship sunk in ~1850 is basically intact. The visibility is okay but there's a pretty strong current. I will post the travel journal later.

It's time to be back to the 'real life'.

From St. Lawrence River   ]

I arrived St. Lawrence Seaway yesterday. I had a good time riding with Ed and George. It's so much fun to see many friends, especially from Connecticut. We chatted all about New Haven.

We made a shore dive here yesterday. The water temperature is upper 60s. It's quite windy so it's chilly out there. We dove the Key Storm this morning. It's a good dive. Though I am not a huge fan of wreck diving, I still had fun and took some really nice shots. This is a short trip and I will be back tomorrow.

Bad news - I lost my keys! I am not sure if I left them in the car. If not, it's going to be hectic tomorrow. But I am not going let it mess me up with my good time. I will worry about it tomorrow.

Some Updates [General]

I have been busy in June and felt like the time is flying. Last weekend I was at Yale, attending Chi's wedding and hanging out with Guan Mei. Guan Mei and I were buddies when we were living in the dorm. We have been 'busy' with our own life but seems like neither of us goes anywhere. I am not sure - sometime life can be really tough. A little bit luck would make the whole thing different but it never happens easily.

I am heading to Clayton in upper state New York to dive st. lawrence seaway in the early morning. I can't plan long trip this year because of the tight schedule. I am so glad to meet old friends and would have fun with them. I will post the travel journal when I come back.

Summer is pretty nice but sometime heart feels cold. But hope you have fun and stay cool!
