Raccoon Butterfly Fish
Molokoni Crater, HI
To be able to dive Hawaii Islands for me is a dream come true. The first moment when I stepped into the Lahaina dive shop,
I saw a beautiful picture of a group of raccoon butterfly fish. Ever since to me, they become a symbol of Hawaii water. I
have been constantly searching for a perfect shot of this fish. They dance leisurely over the reef as the brightest creature
against the deep blue. They are shy and often stay away from the divers. However, if the food is available, they will gather
into larger groups. This picture was taken while I was diving Molokoni Crater. While I was turning myself from the edge of
the reef, this pair swam right in front of my lens.
